social life

We aim to provide our Residents with the best possible quality of life and therefore believe in providing a wide range of activities to appeal to most interests. The following is a sample of what we offer:

  • Exercises - Music for Health workshops
  • Games afternoons
  • Coffee mornings
  • Quizzes
  • Bingo
  • Arts and Crafts afternoons
  • Visits and outings
  • One to one activities
  • An adapted computer that every Resident may use, which includes email and Skype.

Philip Youd is our Activities Coordinator. He publishes a weekly Activities Diary, which can be found in the main hallway.

We welcome visitors at any time, and they can be accommodated at meal times through prior arrangement. We also have regular visits from:

  • Representatives from local churches
  • Hairdressers
  • Chiropodists
  • Healthcare Professionals

Newspapers are available daily to all Residents, and the home also enjoys the facility of the mobile library service together with our own growing collection of large print titles and 'talking' books.

Details of the week's activities, as well as times of visits from the hairdresser and healthcare professionals, are posted on the Residents' information board.
